    Dr. Shikha Singh will discuss what invasive species are and how to identify some of the species of concern. Basic management methods, equipment decontamination, and environmental considerations when using pesticides will be covered. This event is free, and attendees will be eligible for two RUP credits.

    Bring a dish to pass, meet fellow volunteers and rain gardeners, and enjoy this beautiful park right on Ford Lake. When you enter the park, let the parking attendant know you are part of the rain garden potluck and we'll pay for your entrance fee. We'll do a short tour of the rain garden that is looking more and more beautiful every year, thanks to the dedicated steward team!

    We'll have up to 100 of most all our species, and many planting aids. No guarantees of what is available in advance. We will sell all first-come first-serve, so come early to get in line! Shed D at the Farm Council grounds.

    It’s a muddy day on the farm, and the bark of a dog echoes as you step out of the truck, boots sinking into the soft ground. It's a far cry from the office, but this is where the work happens — on the land, with real problems to solve. For Kristen, a technician with the Washtenaw County Conservation District, this is all in a day's work.
